Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world so the need is great. In spite of the extreme poverty, the people are warm and friendly. Malawi has been called the "Warm Heart of Africa," and we see why that is each time we visit. Against all odds, the Malawian people generally have a very positive attitude. They have a spirit of perserverance and ingenuity that is admirable. These pictures give a glimpse of the struggles and victories experienced daily to provide basic needs.
